there are intersections, but normally you have a couple intersections for each word, not for 6 words. Maybe each clue could have a hint of how many words each answer is, as a door prize for the lack of intersections.
But I love this man with a passion (the actor, not the puzzle maker, but you're swell too!). This was fun, like a fortnight's worth of cryptos in a night.

After dismissing this last night as it would be a waste of more than 30 minutes of my time (I've got a life, unlike some who seem to spend all their time here), I decided tonight that there was a lot of info here for me to give it a shot.
I now realize that I was wrong! This was a poorly clued and byzantine puzzle. Though I was ultimately able to solve it, it was not fun at all trying to fill in the unclued blanks.
The title of the Patsy Cline song (presumably #11) was only the first 3 words of the answer and how anyone could have fathomed #3 from that picture is beyond me.
"A" for effort "D-" as completed.
