Nice one!

And first to complete by the completion count.

Minor salt: one of the answers uses the popular spelling not the technically correct spelling.

Well I guess I'm 2nd.

hmm everything but the last one.

9th, apparently. Fascinating, and well-executed.

Blanking on the final answer.

I guessed at the final answer. The rest of the puzzle didn't seem to have anything to do with it.

Any salt on the last one?

Well, if I didn't have a misspelling up in the main part of the puzzle, I would have gotten this a while ago.

this puzzle is madness! lost on last one...what is going on here?

Lost on the last one as well. Any salt?

Not sure why the last one is down there. No connection to anything else that I can see, although maybe I'm just missing it.

I haven't got the compass and girl. Any help?

On the last one, the symbol could also be & instead of +. A read of the wikipedia entry got me there, although the answer doesn't logically follow from the clue for me.

I guessed on the final word too. No idea why it's the answer.

Easy and fun, but the theme only seems to apply to the last answer.

For those needing salt on it, Google is your friend. Same applies to the compass and girl (although those of us with daughters who went through a Sailor Moon phase won't need to search).

Wikipedia led me to the answer on the last one. Iridium plus...

[12] the text underneath her picture should get you what you need

very cylindrical

got it, but no clue on the significance of the final clue. Wiki did go a long way to solving it though.

Why do you have to do all the words on top to get the answer on bottom?

[13] There's a reason it's + instead of &.

Well done!

Using an ampersand (&) won't work for the intended method. The indicated symbol has a use with the completed spiral.

Easy to solve, but I have no idea what the last answer has to do with anything.

Any salt from the people who think this is easy to solve?

Any other salt out there for the final clue at the bottom? I've tried wikipedia, but I don't know what I'm looking for because nothing comes up as an exact match for the search.

can't figure out the last one????

my ass this is easy!! i'm over here googling seamice and skigloos. WTF?

The + part is cool, but unfortunately doesn't really lead to an obvious answer. Neat idea, though.

[28] Any help for those of us who don't understand what to do with it?

Wow.... that was rich

[29]

You need to apply a pattern to the puzzle.

If that is not enough salt, I'll be back.

I liked it!

hmm

[31] Thanks

[27] mcsemcclain check your answer on the compass one

[33] Wikipedia is your friend. Use all of the clues and you will find what you need.

omg...the sailor moon got me....got it

someone doesn't know their cardinal directions...

we need to go to mariner's academy you douche

me and stormthearmada actually put SEami. we are still laughing

[40] Sadly, I did, too. Thought that I had the bottom answer wrong for about 10 minutes.

OH. MY. GOD. I had the bottom the whole time, but had three Ps instead of two in one of the clues. Methinks it's time for bed.

I'm getting the whole + thing, I wikied it, but I'm getting nothing.

EDIT: Well I got it now, but the answer, or something else, isn't right.

on the last one wiki the clue then you may need to go to a certain "table" and add for the final answer.

ok maybe i'm looking at it wrong but i have no clue what the leftmost, second down is. Is that a motorcycle or what?

Got them all (even the plus) except for the stupid anime characters. Any salt there? I've tried the old standbys of google and wikipedia, but I can't find anything that fits the space.

Nevermind, I just figured it out :(

The puzzle spells the objects the cheerleader doll is holding as pompoMs where as wiki spells them as pompoNs. Just FYI.

Murdocter, Darn! The "spiral" idea was exactly the next kind of puzzle I was going to create!! (from the creator of the sometimes liked and sometimes maligned "Hypermaze!" concept). I hope that if you see me creating one in that shape in the future you will not think I was copying you…

There are actually two ways (intentionally) to figure out the final answer... but the "main" way is to use the answers you filled into the puzzle grid -- or at least part of them -- as a clue.

On the final answer, I just remembered the title of the puzzle and applied to what the clue told me to do. "Iridium + ..." But then again, I was a Chemistry major for a year in college, so maybe I'm just "wired" that way.

[50] Yes, that was one way to derive the answer. I was originally going to switch those two words around (and have "iridium" be the final answer), but decided to make it a little easier with that secondary way to solve it.

However, the main part of the puzzle was to use the answers from the grid (which were intentionally easy) to figure out the final answer word.

SALT: The big + sign is a big clue.

It's so frustrating to finish something that came so easily and then hit a brick wall with something that doesn't fit the rest of the puzzle!!! >-[

Neat, though I still had to look up the final answer, even knowing what you were looking for with the clue in the puzzle. :-)

I'm still missing how the spiral part of the puzzle helps get the final answer. The picture (iridium +) was sufficient for me to figure out the answer (using Wiki).

i had everything right, and didn't realize for 15 minutes i spelled an anwer in the middle wrong,

I have to say that this puzzle was extremely clever in the way it was put together.
I give big kudos to anyone who can create a puzzle that is both easy and complex. And the subtlety of how to utilize the + is just incredible!
VERY WELL DONE!!!!

Well, I got the answer but I have absolutely no clue what the puzzle has to do with it. I just looked at heavy metal, thought of music and put in the first word I could think of that fit.

Even with the answers, I can't seem to backsolve the intended "other way" to get the bottom one.

With the theme name and the first answer being the name of a Ritchie Blackmore group, I began thinking that this was going to be a completely different puzzle.
