1st (edited to note: primarily by seeing the puzzle within minutes of its posting). Good choice not featuring this one; the clues were clear enough that I could actually get them all without knowing anything about the theme, but the theme is a little, er, specialized.
(Edited also to note: even knowing what the theme is, I have no clue what the title means. Google isn't helping.)

Nevermind, took it the second time. One letter was in the answer but didn't show up in the puzzle. Rewrote it. Never had that happen before.

This is one of those where the theme might not click for many. After you try a few where the "picture suggested" answer fits, try googling those phrases. A theme might become apparent (it did for me)...

Finally, a puzzle I could really relate to. Once I got to the second clue, I thought, "No, it couldn't be that." Then the third clue confirmed that it had to be. Excellent puzzle. Great for solving on a Sunday night (or maybe Saturday if you're Jewish).

It's OK if it isn't played backwards.
[1] The subject clicked pretty quick for me, but I spent several years with this. I still had to search for a few answers. I didnât think it was any less than any other featured hypercross.

Not bad at all! Required far less specialized knowledge than the featured one from last night - clues were done quite well.

[10] I agree. The clues were very well done. This wasn't a topic I'm familiar with, and yet I finished it with little difficulty (and a bit of research).

Thanks for the help at BGG
I was not familiar with this knowledge area at all - and didn't recognize that i was getting answers that actually were right! :-p

With a little help from BGG, this was pretty straightforward. It's a nice little puzzle!

The theme started to click for me some with a couple of the answers. Rockin' puzzle!

as usual... I went down the list looking for a theme. I filled in #5 and #8 as I went. then I thought... could it be? did some research and it was. Funny thing, without even knowing the theme yet, I had said #3 to myself and thought "how silly is that... makes no sense" ... later to find out that was exactly what it was.
edit: oh.. good puzzle by the way. perhaps they thought this one too short to be featured... but I suppose it couldn't be much longer.

[10] Lastnight was a bit unfair for comparison. I liked this one and when some of them fit perfect just saying it outloud I know I needed to look for a common thread. Fun.

I got #4, although it was very strange, so I googled that one, and got all the rest immediately. I actually had 6 of them from the images, but I was thinking that they couldn't all be right. It turns out they were.

Pretty decent.
And reasonably easy to research.

The theme isn't that esoteric. I'm not particularly a fan, and yet I was able to figure out the theme. Now I just have to figure out #6.
[edit]And, got 6. I think it is the biggest stretch in the set.

I thought it was good, a lot easier to find the answers than the geocaching one. The title is good and works for the theme. It worked just like any other hyper-cross, unless it was a Arnott or Murdoc or the like (yes I stole that from EscKey) but I agree. those guys can be devious BUT good
