I ignored the clues in the answer box (#2). I just used everything else.

[5] Does order matter? If so, what's the order?!
Edit: Never mind.
Wow...that would have been a lot easier if the order of the clues was provided. For what it's worth I see no logical order to the clues. You've just got to randomly assemble what you have into a phrase.

Okay, so...8 items can be put together 8! = 40,320 different ways. I'm going to be here a while.

[11] Get some of the major words assembled and do a google search with the country represented by the flag. That should get it for you.

[10] It was "the word". Now look at your words and listen to "the word".

[17] ah, c'mon, pepper, gotta change up the puzzles every now and then :)
as to the order of the words, it seems when I created the hypercross I had no control over the order of the clues. That said, 3 of them are in order...

I solved the long one with a search of the clues, without any of the words. But it's probably easier the other way.

Pshew, tough one. You have to get the words in the correct order. Without the "clues" in #2, I'd have never figured it out.

[29] No, only the hand itself. That confused me for a while too.
Kilgore, I love the idea, but without orders on the mini-clues I think most of us just googled around from the seemingly random images in the final clue. Which defeats what you were trying to do.
It seems silly to say, but it's often forgotten: people don't know the answer beforehand, like the designer does, and that must be accounted for. Seeing eight words that line up somehow, sounding sort of like they actually do, is daunting, especially when the final phrase is something a little obscure (that is, they wouldn't think of it right away, unlike your cryptopix which is a common phrase, and only has three elements besides). Slamming them together randomly is not fun, at least for me.
But still, the clues were well-executed of themselves. I only had to look up the car. Like Arnott, I applaud anything that tries to stretch the limits. And I look forward to version 2.0!

interesting new approach, but i found the lack of order on the mini clues a bit annoying. overall, thought it was an interesting meld of different puzzles. i look forward seeing more of these in the future as the bugs get worked out

[46] et al-
Yeah the ordering thing was a difficult item to incorporate. I felt if I ordered them it would just be a race to the end. At first I did label the first and last pictures so at least you would know how it began and ended. However, I took that out because I thought the clues were so easy that maybe time should be taken to figure out the saying -hence the clues.
[29] 2.0 - I like the sound of that!

That was ridiculous... I got all the clues except for the car pretty quickly, but it was a lucky Google for #2.
