I'm trying to reserve the first comment, in the event that any corrections/announcements need to be made. Hopefully they do not. Enjoy.
***EDIT***
#6 down is spelled wrong! I don't see an easy way to fix it, as it would make the other down answer to the right abut, but not intersect the across below. (Not to mention the havoc it brings to puzzlers in progress.)
Here's where the extra letter lies:
.....i......
Sorry everyone. I'm ashaimed.

[1] Only correction that needs to be made is apparently to my brain! I have a big "huh?" for this one!

#6 should not have the 6th letter. For those who are spelling it correctly, add an "I" there.

Interesting; for #6, I don't call it that; I would have expected Mr. Hamill to show up again instead of Sam. Still, a good puzzle!

It's bad enough that some puzzlemakers don't check their own puzzles...but why don't the moderators check them before approving them? Don't we have a new "Daily Fun Moderator" running around these days?
Good puzzle though...too bad about the oversight.

These are masks associated with the theater. One's laughing and one is crying. Just remember the theme of the puzzle.
