I don't get the theme at all; none of these things seems to have anything to do with one another. Can't get several of them because of that.
Edit: post and aha strikes again!

No. 13 doesn't fit (or I'm wrong, very likely).

Liquid paper: is it liquid, or is it paper? Discuss.

[2] this may be a hard puzzle if you are employed with MILITARY INTELLIGENCE. or maybe it's just because you are PRETTY UGLY. or because you drive a DODGE RAM. or maybe you are a total BUTTHEAD? - my apologies for the GRAPHIC LANGUAGE, but please don't take any of this personally. i'm just trying to help make this puzzle more USER FRIENDLY for those who are having trouble.

[16] 4 is the type of light (and it is NOT fluorescent). 13 is the type of piano (it's a young one)
[12] I figured the brand was a factor, but that didn't lead me anywhere.

Cute puzzle. I found #s 8, 9, and 12 to be reaching a bit, though.

#6 - is it named after an elephant, or a New York ballplayer? And #11 doesn't seem to fit....

11 and 13 are just not clicking for me. I know the theme but it isn't helping.

#11 isn't strong. And neither is #13, come to think of it. It is what it is, and that's what it isn't!

Number 6 gave me the theme. Most were pretty easy from there, #7 I knew what it was, but finding the exact phrasing to make it fit was tricky.
