Holy wow! I like the update!

Overall - lots of great improvements! I'd like to be able to "leave" the picathon if I want to give up waiting after a while and there isn't a way to do that right now, is there? Even if I navigate away from the page, it still shows me as waiting.

Wow..I'm confused! Hopefully I will find this easier to navigate over time....

To show my feelings about the new design, I will quote my 2 year old son: "I don't like it, at all any!" If I had my druthers, I would go back to the Tanga 1.0 format - you know, the Tanga that I knew and loved.....and actually bought stuff from.

Oh! I feel way more confused with this change than the 2.0 change. This will definitely take some getting used to....

The puzzle pictures are taking a LONG time to load - and I'm on my superfast connection at work - it feels like dialup...

I had rights to the admin control panel in the hypercross. The Add word link seemed to work (i didn't try to add a word though) but the other two links were broken links.

I tried to sent a TG to Joe directly regarding a minor issue, but I got an error.

So far I see the following glitches:
The Current Deal picture is blown up so that I can only see the center part of the item's picture on the screen.

If I try to look at my point history I get the Tanga Error page

If I try to look at my Upcoming puzzles I get the Tanga Error page.

Overall I find the color scheme to be too monochromatic. Everything blends into everything else - The different features/links would be easier if they were in a bolder color.

a "little" different??? I like the fact that tou can see the explanation to the answer of a puzzle after you complete it.

Joe and Jordan: Where do you want any bugs and/or errors listed at? I mean legitimate problems, not just opinions. Tangagrams? If they're working? This thread? The discussion thread on this topic?

I like the new features. I very much do not like the new look. When I saw this on the staging server while testing the Picathon I just assumed it was just a funny template so you'd all know you were on the staging server... not that it was what was to come.

And just to clarify and be a bit more constructive... I've always had to scroll left-right in order to get the entire page in view... but it didn't matter before because there was generally nothing of interest on the right side. Now I have to always scroll right to see it all. Bad bad bad. Does it NEED to be fixed so wide?

There are two links to view the past bottom feeders. View Past Contest Results and View Archive. Is there any difference?

When did the STU change from 5000 points to 50 purchases? I'm not sure I'm a fan. It doesn't really provide any incentive to play the games unless I'm EXTREMELY dedicated and think I can be one of the few top players. Sorry, but I just don't have THAT much time on my hands.

I can't connect to Picathon. I get the "connecting" message forever. Then, suddenly, it'll show that a game is starting (of which I'm not a part); then it'll show me the winners of that game and display a button for me to joing the next game. But when I click that button, I'm back to the long wait on the "connecting" message. (I'm using IE7.)

Meanwhile, I see that other people are rapidly racking up points on the game.

My general reaction to the new design is that it's too monochromatic and too busy. But worst of all, it's MUCH, MUCH, MUCH too slow. The huge puzzle pictures take forever to download. I bet things will be wild tonight when everybody is trying to solve puzzles and some people will have to wait several minutes for a puzzle to download before they can even see it.

The layout will take some getting used to, but one request when you get around to it: can we have back the personal completion status for individual puzzles in the archive? I don't know at a glance which one's I'ven't finished.

Thank you for returning the picture size to a more manageable 500x500!

More color would be nice. I kind of miss the tabs on the top, but that's not a big deal.

I think you may need a new way to display the current deal picture on the main page. The middle strip seems to look like crap more often than not. At the very least, I'd look into specifying an offset so that you target a meaningful slice instead of just the middle.

So, ugh. I dislike picathon intensely. Tanga has become an ersatz gambling site, and the points seem to totally eclipse the other puzzles. One less reason for me to waste time, I guess.

OK, well, I tried downloading the first Unfeatured puzzle. After 10 minutes I still hadn't downloaded the entire picture. This is ridiculous! I guess Tanga doesn't want anyone to visit their site unless they have a super fast connection.
I'm on dialup here because nothing else is available in our location. We can't even get satellite internet because of the mountains. So, does this mean that I can no longer do Tanga? Looks that way! Not happy at all!

Is it just me or did anyone notice that the archives now do not tell you whether it's an EASY, HARD, HYPER or CRYPTO? I prefer knowing what kind of puzzle I'm about to attempt

It would be really nice if one of the filters would let you look at only puzzles you have NOT completed or puzzles you HAVE completed. For example, I'm pretty sure I've completed all the archived puzzles, but I'm not 100% sure. I'd love to be able to check without going back through over 100 pages of puzzles

Oh, and one more thing....

I CANNOT play picathon because it won't load on dialup. So that means that, although I've worked really hard to earn points and get to the top 20 or higher, someone can come along and just sit and play picathon all day and rack up more points that they would even by being the #1 solver of all puzzles that day. There should be a cap on the points you can earn per day from picathon. Unless Tanga is trying to tell those of us on slow connections that we're really not wanted or needed. In which case...say it to my face!

Some of the changes you've made are good, some are horrendous. Some completely exclude an entire segment of your members. Somehow I doubt that was your intent, but nonetheless it's annoying and aggravating.

And make it easier to click to the puzzle. With the puzzle maker's info in a rather large conspicuous space at the top of each "puzzle box" I am viewing their profile instead of the puzzle.

Sorry, but you have way to much stuff going on and the site is visually busy and butt ugly as a result. And very uninviting

Hey, another glitch....created a hyper, want to edit the title. When I click on "edit puzzle" it goes to an error page. :(

Sorry to keep this up, but I want to point out that I often have another window open when I'm doing the Tanga puzzles, so I can chat with friends at the same time. I keep the window off to the right side of the screen and that hasn't been a problem until this new upgrade. Now, no matter where I put the chat window, it covers the puzzle. So I have to choose...see the puzzle or chat. Do the puzzles REALLY need to be on the right side of the screen???

Good gawd. Seriously, guys- the new layout is so jumbled and cluttered, it makes navigation a nightmare. And the colors are just nasty. Text boxes blend in so they're difficult to find unless you happen to get lucky and click where they are, or "select all" the page to find the bloody things.

Not impressed. Tanga 2.0 was fine- why'd you want to go and mess it up? You could have added new things without borking the entire site.

Maybe you could support user-selected color schemes?

I really hate this one and would never select it.

Since no one in charge seems to have noticed yet, you might want to make sure that the problem with last night's easy OWW doesn't occur again.

Didn't like 2.0 at all when it hit, and it eventually became less annoying. This one is fine out of the box. The new sidebar and header are fantastic, very clear & easy to use. The "current deal" on the main page is very clean when you're not logged in. And while I don't think the color scheme is beautiful, I think it's clean and elegant to use.

The page bodies are still pretty cluttered. Especially the main page after logging in. One puzzle displays an eye-catching star, the creator's profile image, a sample puzzle image, and a link to "find more". I guess it's cool to have your name & picture in lights on the main page, but I question whether it's even necessary to have the creator's name show up there. Makes it busy.

The forum post numbers should be moved to the left (I don't remember when that was changed). They kind of run off and get lost on the right.

The image for the current deal, "big yellow box", is pretty messed up on the logged-in main page. It's zoomed way in or something. On the current deal page, it's not even displayed, showing a "A Tanga Image" placeholder link instead.

On the logged-in main page, I'm seeing "A Tanga Image" instead of the Easy One Word Wonder preview, too.

I'm having the same problem with having a hard time viewing the current deal...and all the comments on any blog are all cut off...can't read most of them...looks like the boxes with the avatars and user info is centered too far down and is covering the words in the user's comments...having a hard time viewing anything...*sigh* i never liked change...

I think that the Deal of the Day should be shown somewhere on the Daily Fun page. In fact, it should be shown somewhere on EVERY page.

I noticed a slight problem with the main tanga.com page when viewed in Safari on an iPhone. The random questions' title changes, but the answers do not. Closing the browser page and re-opening is the work-around.

Things are a little cluttered, but I think it will grow on me...

There do seem to be some minor bugs in the picathon, though.

My wife has become addicted to picathon (not the bug, but a little annoying ;) ). While watching her, I noticed the following:
1) Sometimes, the top still says "Spectating" even when she is playing.
2) Sometimes, she'll miss a round. It will give the message that it's tabulating the score for a LONG time and then it will show her as having not guessed.
3) And finally, when she gets knocked out, it doesn't show her guess. Tonight, she picked the left picture... but when she got her third strike, it indicated 0 people selected the left picture.

Keep working not close yet.

Random questions do not have the number of responses showing anymore. Can this be brought back?? Are they still kept up until 100 responses?

Really wish we had the option to revert to the old layout. That way everyone can be happy, plus the new layout is HUGE and makes me scroll around just to see stuff. Plus, there are a lot of bugs with it in IE and I'd rather have a nice stable layout. =)
