Tuesday, May 27 - Murdoctor Day

13 Comments

LOL... I almost fell over when I saw all the notifications. Thanks, Arnott!

Looks like I'm going to be a Tanga widow on Tuesday, since Murdoctor will be glued to the computer that entire day and night tracking all of the activities related to his puzzlethon.

Thanks, Arnott. I'll be looking for some complimentary Tanga Trash for all my trouble and sacrifice...LOL!

Oh...and a couple of free movies passes to enjoy with him would be a nice touch. :)

I'm scared.

[3] Scared enough to wear a regular pair of glasses?

Aside: do people even wear monocles anymore? And why did they in the first place? If one eye goes bad, doesn't the other one go bad, too?

[1] No problem, Doc. Getting out these 10 means you have, like, oh... I don't know... 80 or 90 more to go :)

[5] 10? Does this mean there will be more than the usual 4 featured puzzles at 7:00 PST?

[3] I'm scared too.

This post should have been titled "Be afraid, be very afraid" mwahahahaha

[7] LOL!

You know that quick jolt of fear you get when a puzzle pops up with Murdoctor's byline? You're facing a fearsome adversary and just hope you're up to the challenge. But you don't really have time to think about it, because you've got a puzzle to solve and the clock is ticking.

Now, thanks to Arnott's announcement, we have two whole days for that quick jolt to grow and fester into a huge, churning lump of fear. Be very afraid, indeed!

Hello, Jolt Cola factory? Can you ship overnite? I'll reorder another F5 button as well.
All Murdoctor All Day...I think I'll use the other internet for a spell.

[6] The regular 4 puzzles at 7 PST, plus 6 more Unfeatured throughout the day.

[4] Actually, a large number of people with sight problems have different levels of refractive error in each eye... today's technology is much better at making tailor-made prescriptions for each individual eye, so it made more sense many years ago to use monocles.

[5] 75, to be exact. Not counting the works in progress, of course. LOL

As for the rest of you, just remember: "Fear is the mind-killer." But I'll go along with the evil cackle.

[11] 75 more? Wow, what a puzzlethon THAT would be!

{... we interrupt your regularly scheduled thread to bring you the following bulletin ...}
[4][11]I've used that moniker since back in the day when AOL didn't let you out of their version of the Internet. The reason: my presence on the 'net was like looking through my mind's eye... for which you need but one lens.
{... we now return you to your thread already in progress ...}
