I've played My Dwarves Fly.
Sharing an artist and theme with Munchkin, you can't help but compare the two, but I'd take MDF over Munchkin any day!
The ability to chose they type of card you want to draw in MDF is superieor to Munchkin (IMO).
Also game play is a little different. In MDF you are assembling monsters to battle against other player(s)' monsters, and the most powerful monster always dies after the battle, which helps avoid a runaway leader.
The best part—MDF is usually over in 30 minutes.
I have not played either. But I just read the rules for Igel (it is on sale over at Timewellspent.com) because I recently got a copy. It looks funny...though maybe a "little" hardcore for kids.
"Some of the drawings are pretty violent as there is depicted in the cards animals shooting droppings from their butts, others trapped in a bloody barbed wire fest, some smoking pod, other with syringes all over the body, another one pushing with his feet the head of an enemy animal into a bear trap, etc..."
Igel is a fun game for GROWN-UPS! [It's NOT appropriate for children! See comment #7.] I paid $15 for Igel a few months ago. Now I wish I waited, since I could have had another game for just $2 more. Oh well, it was worth it anyway....

Excerpt from the one review of Igels on BGG:

[6] I assume you meant timewellspent.org - one of my favorite places to buy games (besides Tanga, of course!)
