I must be using the wrong words for the weather map and the first picture, because I can't make words out of the sounds I'm coming up with. Or maybe I'm just particularly dense tonight.
I also got the answer but have no clue how I got it... i guess i see what comes from the curvy road sign but I think it's a bad thing to use. No idea about the truck....
I had this forever ago but forgot it was the cryptopix and could be more than one word. I got the answer then tried every one word version of it I could think of. DOH!
Nice, I really liked this one once I stopped being a moron.
[34] I agree--I kept thinking it was an ATM or an electronic voting machine. It appears to have some sort of monitor/screen on the front.
[33] I always thought "lectern" and the puzzle word were synonyms--what exactly is the difference?
I am fairly sure I have it, but I don't have it. The first picture, plus the "salt"... can someone give me that last bit of salt, is there a small word I am missing?

Got a great start...but can't fit the woman in. It doesn't seem like her name really lends itself to a cryptopix...

Just got here - for the sign, think about what road lies ahead... and for the country / bumper, see [12]. That's enough salt - no more clues.

Could use just a bit of salt on the astronaut.

[35], the word the puzzle uses is the platform on which the lectern stands. You stand *on* the stage, or the xxxxxx, and *at* the lectern.
fishboy

Actually, [35] is correct. In modern usage, "lectern" is a synonym for the word the puzzle uses. Look up the word at www.m-w.com, definition 2b.

For those wondering about the sign, it represents another name for that type of highway feature.

WOW. I just concentrated on the nacl that everyone was throwing around and not on the puzzle at all and I got it! heh heh heh
Replace the first picture with someone doing something with a needle and thread. It is all as pure as ocean water from there.

Smacks head on desk. Smacks head on desk. The first pic doesn't fit for me, but the bottom gave it away. Eventually.
