A Tanga image? No way!

7th! Woo hoo!

These pretzels.... are makin' me thirsty!

what the heck is that 2nd picture?

[4] DITTO!

What is that (#2) thing?

Got it from the second word... dunno about the first!

[6] It's what you stand at to make a speech, see the mic?

took me a while to figure it out too... here's a hint, it starts with the letter that is missing from the periodic table

[9] Thanks! I didn't even notice there was one missing until you said that.

I still don't get why the Swiss flag and taillight are there.

had the wrong astronaut for the longest time. Was thinking of the challenger but was wrong.

[10] Think about those dumb stickers you see on cars...put the right thing for Switzerland there

just waiting for someone to ask for it... =)

Thanks for the salt, everyone! :-D

I can't see what the second picture is - any salt?

Nevermind, I see some above.

there's plenty of salt to go around! =D

[15] check out number [8] and [9]

I must be using the wrong words for the weather map and the first picture, because I can't make words out of the sounds I'm coming up with. Or maybe I'm just particularly dense tonight.

[17] I never did figure out how the sign fit in, got it from everything else.

The weather map - you only want what it is showing you, just that one thing.

got the answer but i still dont understand how u would get it from the given puzzle.

Got a great start...but can't fit the woman in. It doesn't seem like her name really lends itself to a cryptopix...

It makes no sense?

Oh, never mind... Doh. I had typed it in with a typo.

still having a hard time with the bumper sticker and the swiss flag

was trying to make it the obvious one word! DOH! took it one step too far.

got it, but dont get the flag and truck light either

Best... Cryptopix... EVAR!

I always seem to be in the 150's some where.

I also got the answer but have no clue how I got it... i guess i see what comes from the curvy road sign but I think it's a bad thing to use. No idea about the truck....

I had this forever ago but forgot it was the cryptopix and could be more than one word. I got the answer then tried every one word version of it I could think of. DOH!

Nice, I really liked this one once I stopped being a moron.

Nice Salt!! (*snicker*)

Just got here - for the sign, think about what road lies ahead... and for the country / bumper, see [12]. That's enough salt - no more clues.

Its not the car or the bumper but the sticker.

Technically, image #2 is a lectern, but that's not what the puzzle says.

Nice one! The second image could have been more recognizable though ^^

[34] I agree--I kept thinking it was an ATM or an electronic voting machine. It appears to have some sort of monitor/screen on the front.
[33] I always thought "lectern" and the puzzle word were synonyms--what exactly is the difference?

Could use just a bit of salt on the astronaut.

Edit: Never mind, though I just have to figure out where I misspelled something.

Oh. Groan.

It took me a second to realize that #2 wasn't some sort of B-rate Robot.

[35], the word the puzzle uses is the platform on which the lectern stands. You stand *on* the stage, or the xxxxxx, and *at* the lectern.

Actually, [35] is correct. In modern usage, "lectern" is a synonym for the word the puzzle uses. Look up the word at www.m-w.com, definition 2b.

[12] Oh now I get that part of it (helps that Wikipedia uses it for the example). Good thing I was able to solve the thing w/o it.

I am fairly sure I have it, but I don't have it. The first picture, plus the "salt"... can someone give me that last bit of salt, is there a small word I am missing?

[42] The smaller word is the saltier one.

This is the greatest cryptopix evar! Gotta go get me a gallon of water now!

First picture is a huge red herring. Start with the second picture and go from there. Thats my bit of salt.

Wow, that finally got it for me! Thanks caged! Can't believe I didn't try that earlier.

[35] The difference is that one doesn't work in the puzzle. =)

For those wondering about the sign, it represents another name for that type of highway feature.

This puzzle is salty!

WOW. I just concentrated on the nacl that everyone was throwing around and not on the puzzle at all and I got it! heh heh heh

Replace the first picture with someone doing something with a needle and thread. It is all as pure as ocean water from there.

Smacks head on desk. Smacks head on desk. The first pic doesn't fit for me, but the bottom gave it away. Eventually.
