Got all the schools except for Mavericks, of which there are at least 6 possibilities, but not sure if that is even the way to go here???
Edit: got it; I had a few of 'em wrong.

had no desire to look up schools, so made a guess based on number of apparent letters and got it right. woo hoo. I know, it's cheating...but I'm tired.

Ok, obviously college football teams. Got schools for all the teams (though a couple are **really** flippin' obscure!!! and I'm a college football fan!). What next? I see nothing that works with this list.

So what supposed schools are homes to the Crimson and the Mavericks? Got the answer due to outside help, but **no** school I could find for those two would fit the answer. Could someone Tangagram me?

[21] At first, I thought "Crimson" was a reference to "Crimson Tide" but that isn't correct. Still don't know the proper school. The only Mavericks I have heard of is Minnesota State at Mankato - that obviously isn't right either (which is good, 'cause that would have been *really* obscure!).

[21] There's some Ivy League schools in there, and the Mavericks are probably the most obscure team in the mix, but I'm sure University of Nebraska-Omaha alumni appreciate the free Tanga press.
If you get everything but the Mavericks and still can't solve the puzzle, then you need more than salt.

Gotta say though, UN-O??? They're Division II. How in hell is anyone who doesn't have ties there to be expected to find them?

I did the work and found the teams, the stats, and everything. Still made no sense. So, I guessed, and got it. Dunno how.
