Salt... figured out how to get it... the only one you can't spell by loosely connecting the letters, like in a word find puzzle.

Wow. Just wasn't seeing this for the longest time. Everyone's talking about "year" and it didn't help that I could clearly see the word "year" in the puzzle...totally threw me into the wrong direction.
The hard puzzle could of helped me if only it said "12MIAY"

There are a lot of those letters in this puzzle.
I had to use 9 Es, 8 Rs, 7 As, and 4 Ys, for the rest of the "set" to be complete.
