The placement of the words on the highway suggests a word that is in the middle of the answer word. I think that might be the only reason for the pic.

Arrrggh! I had it, but spelled it wrong. So I went off hunting down other words to use. Grrrrr.

Unfortunately, the words on the roadside really should have begun with a consonant. The answer is technically incorrect, at least according to what I was taught way back when.
