It was me! I didn't use the explained method, but must have had a heavenly INspiration! I noticed there are two pairs of dominoes that are alike. Their placement suggested particular letters to me. I plugged those into a crossword solver and the answer was one of the results!

I'm in the same boat. I've tried three or four promising things, but they didn't work out.
I don't enjoy these guess-o-gram type of puzzles!

If you want to try the intended solve method, the overall shape should guide the order in which to "read" the pips.

Do you start at the top, or down at the bottom by the arrow?
Edit: You start at the bottom.
