It took me three tries to find specifically what to use, but pretty easy otherwise.

Not a fan at all, but I looked up the teams, the cities, and the players, but still have no clue.

I have to say I found this one a little random and pointless. It's just a matter of trying assorted keys until a word shows up. The answer is unrelated to the theme, so at least it can't be guessed.

Pretty straightforward - it's nice getting here 5 1/2 hours late and still getting 78th place!

I'll have to suggest that if you're coming in 5½ hours late and getting 78th, it might not be so straightforward. I'm not getting anything from it.

[11] I have to agree; I got top 100 after 13 hours. I needed a good night's sleep to see the correct approach.

[12] Thanks, but I'm still not seeing what to do with that. Tried "end" and "den," which seemed to fall out from that, and didn't get anywhere. Even tried "opera" and "Cleopatra," just in case.

My eyes are starting to resemble basketballs from watching the playoffs - loved the puzzle especially since one of them is my favorite player!! PS. I almost fell off the chair laughing at your comment, dajagr. That one is burned in my memory, too!!
