Uh, wow. Haven't been so clueless on a Cryptopix in a long time... Are we supposed to recognize the people and/or the cars? I don't even recognize that uniform...
I'm amazed that I got this. You need to know the people, the cars, and where the flag is from. I knew the first picture, the third picture and was able to google the flag. From there, I took a huge leap and used wikipedia.
Ok, finally got it. Googling the first, third, and sixth pictures together (which were the only ones I could identify) got me the second and seventh ones no problem. I finally figured out who the uniform was for, and then was able to google the player's number to come up with name, which led to what the car is.
This puzzle was just really unpleasant for me, although I'll take half of the blame -- if there are two things in this world that I cannot identify, it's sports people and cars (and I'm male, believe it or not!) But these pictures were just atrocious. At least the one of the football player could have showed the side of the helmet. All vehicles look more or less alike at that distance - you should at least show the maker's logo clearly, and even then that's frequently not enough by itself. The movie poster was ok, although small, but some other identifying feature (like one of his creations?) on the old timer would have been quite helpful.
[7] It was my first puzzle so there's obviously room for improvement. I really don't think the football player picture is "atrocious" by any means. I really can't see identifying an NFL team by a picture like that being difficult relative to most puzzles on the site.
The "old timer" I thought was pretty famous, especially with all his cameos in recent years.
[9] I submitted it last night in anticipation of the upcoming season
don't really know football teams.
have no idea who the old timer is. don't watch much tv.
but.
don't all these puzzles have a little message that we all need to remember.
so and so..............
[10] I don't care for football, so I don't recognize the team uniforms on sight, much less the players. I'm fairly sure I know what the number is (the second digit is distorted), but there's absolutely nothing at all to indicate what team that is, except for indistinct white markings on the side of the helmet.
Actually pretty easy if you recognized the old guy...but I realize that's a big leap...but I'm with [12] being stumped and then solving is the fun...for me anyway...much better than immediate solves.
def a sports themed puzzle. the old timer never travels flat.
third pic is just the generic name as the print on it means nothing. you do need the name of the player, flag and cars. def a breakaway once I knew who the old timer was. fun puzzle!

The car picture isn't the best, but you should be able to piece it together with just the first half of the pictures.

I know nearly all of them, but I can't figure how to put them together in the slightest.

[7] The football player's first name is the same as the nickname of the creature that "lives" in Lake Champlain.

I needed google to help me put it all together. If I had known that the 3rd pic was generic, I think I would have got it a lot faster.

On my browser I was able to make out the helmut logo from just the part that showed...that and [8]'s salt made it a lay up.

I must be too wrapped up in worldly pursuits... I had no problem identifying any of the images on my own.
