Nope, never heard of it. Haven't seen the trailer on tv, and really don't get out to the movies much (that's over 35 miles away).

I think they got the idea for the movie from an episode of Red Dwarf.

Never watched Red Dwarf.
But I do think the movie was adapted from a F. Scott Fitzgerald short story.
