[3] I am pretty sure I do? I buy them in packages of 12 socks, or 6 pairs. And so I do not have to wash them everyday I actually own around 25 pairs.
How ever I do belive if you lived and Florida and wore flip flops all the time you might own just one pair of dress socks for a special occasion.

We live in Michigan and my wife owns no socks, her thinking is, if she doesn't wear them then she doesn't have to fold them.

Live in NW Pa and still haven't worn socks yet. Don't usually wear a coat either even in winter.
Like [4] buy the same socks all the time for the family. So who knows what socks have intermingled with each other.

I match and pile hubby's so he can fold or not fold as he wishes.
I used to do the sock ball thing until I realized how much it stretched my socks out! Now I just fold over the cuffs.
Not that I wear socks that often. Only when it's below 75... and I go outside!
