People still use antennas?

Those won't work when TV goes digital.

[1] They will but you need to buy the $40 box. From what I'm reading the reception is poorer in most areas.
Went satellite, will never go back to cable.

[2] You don't need the box if your TV has a digital ATSC tuner, which most sets sold today have.

[1][2] when TV goes digital in February, TV will still be broadcast over the air and therefore antennas will still work. they will just be picking up a digital signal, the problem is analog tv's do not have a digital tv tuner and won't be able to interpret the signal. that's what the $40 box does for the analog tv's.

I do not own a TV. I use the internet for everything.

[5] Even sex?

[5] everything?

Fiber Optic rules

[6] Don't laugh - I know someone who uses the Internet for that, too.

I have cable, but I agree that TV is evil. Which to choose...

Hmmm...for the first 15 years we lived here, we only got 1 tv station, and it was a local station. Now we have satellite. Cable isn't available. Nor are fiber optics.

[8] Was that an answer to [5]'s question?

;-)

VGA from my computer... I get to watch whatever I want with no commercials.

I've never had cable TV.

Where's the "other" button? I get mine from the phone company over the phone line. U-Verse's IPTV.
