This case is hardy. I've dropped my phone many times without damage. The case has one crack - near the camera aperture where it's structurally weakest - but not broken. As expected the clear plastic has many scratches but still shows off the iPhone color. This case paired with a tempered glass shield will save you hundreds in repairs. Worth every penny.
