What a comfortable stool! Since it only has an indentation on the seat, I wasn't expecting much, but both my 5-year-old and I like to sit on this stool because it's so comfortable -- no slipping or sliding, no aching back! The seat itself seems to be made of solid wood, a good 2" thick. The seat is ample, too, being 16" x 12". It stands about 2' high. The base can be flipped around, so you can either have the footrest in front, or in back, if it's in the way. The seat is held on by 4 screws that go into mollies, so it's solid. And it even comes with an allen wrench, so you don't need a screwdriver of your own. The stool is pretty heavy, and doesn't slide around on its own. The feet aren't that well attached (they were twisted and moved to the center when I got the stool), but they stay put because of the weight of the stool. Maybe I'll try gluing them, just to be sure. Overall, this is a great stool, and one I'll enjoy using for years to come! I received this product in exchange for my honest review.

Bought the counter stools in black to go with a recent renovation. These stools are modern, comfortable and look way more expensive than they are. Highly suggest snatching these. Great value. Assembly was quick - only a few screws.

Excellent counter height stools. Bought 3 of them. They look like the more expensive version from West Elm, but also great quality. Putting them together was fast and easy.
