I bought this to replace my carbon monoxide meter, that was battery powered which was no longer holding a new battery. I also have a small dog who is absolutely terrified of the chirp of carbon monoxide meters and fire alarms. I bought this one and I am so happy to know that it doesn't chirp and I won't have to worry about her being terrified when it's on its last battery leg. I tested the self-test option and the sound is an alarm but not a chirp. Definitely love the digital display too! Gives me piece of mind. Read more
