I understand if you own all the other older Data East micro players you may not care for this unit. But there are games like B-Wings and Side Pocket that aren't on dedicated micro players. So, there is something new here. If you were thinking of getting one of the older DE players, this one has them all in one. Seems like a no brainer. (These are all the NES version of the games, BTW)As for the "Bonus" games, they mostly suck, but not as bad as other cheap units I've seen. They seem to have a little more polish. Title screens, pretty much everything is "playable". Curly Monkey 1 and 2 are fun, actually. If you ever had any of the older My Arcade/Gream Gear players, you've seen these 300 games before. So, you may find it fun that they got included in this form factor.Display wise, its neato. It's bright purple and the same size as the older ones. It has a USB C power port now. It feels like the same buttons and d-pad/joystick to me. At any rate, it look nice with the other models. If you're looking for more Data East games and the Arcade versions of those games, they do sell a Data East Mini arcade that you might like instead. As long as you know what you're getting, this DE micro player isn't a bad unit to own.

Small screen, but still a fun game. There are others that make it look worth collecting.

This Game is what it is. Small mini arcade. Controls are fine graphics are fine sounds are fine. It's cute nothing more. If your buying because you like Burgertime and this is cute to have/play on your desk you will get exactly what you wanted. This will run on Batteries. I was a little disappointed at first reading these reviews only to open my unit up place some brand new batteries in and have nothing happen like others were saying. I experimented and found this to solidly work. I opened the battery cover and while pressing the on off button over and over I used my other hand to roll the four batteries up and down. After approx 10 seconds and let's say ten clicks of the on off at the same time the unit came alive. Ever since then the unit works fine with just the batteries. Not sure why but it works perfectly fine now. Turns off and turns on the way it should.. hope this helped you all!!

I bought this for my buddy who said he'd make it in life when he got this as an arcade. He loved it.

I got this for my old man as a gift. He used to play this when he was in school. Now he can't even put it down!

This was for a white elephant exchange, and it was a hit! I wanted to keep it myself.

Gave this to our grandson. He live video games but never experienced the arcade era of gaming. So we gifted him a retro game from our childhood and he loved it. Brought back some great memories and fun times sharing this nostalgic game with him. Get on or build your own mini arcade. It’s fun!!

I like to tell my much younger coworker about the glory days of the NES, and this gem is often brought up. When I saw it, I had to buy it to go with my mini arcade around the cubicle. Great product, plays just like the old Bad Dudes games, and you can run it off micro USB to save buying AA's. I just wish they put a second stick on there for some two-player action. Understandable given the size, but man that would have been amazing.
