Easy to assemble. Opens and closes fairly easily. You definitely need a base of some kind to keep this thing from flipping over. Any kind of wind brings it down. It gets kind of dicey when the wind blows because you will need to duck out of the way to avoid being hit in the head from the top part swinging around.

I live right on Lake Erie. The winds come across in blocked at times. I bolted this to my deck. It may shift and sway but has not broken and nothing about this product makes me think that it will. This is my second one as the first one lasted several years but animals got to it during the winter and chewed up the canopy.

It's sturdy and wide umbrella! Love the Beige color of it and it goes along with my patio furniture. It was a quick and easy assembly, only took me less than 10mins to install the cross base. It has 8 ribs and powder coated pole which is rust free that I liked the most! You can tilt the umbrella freely too, just make sure you have the heavy weight base to hold this up.
