Outdoor gas heater for cozy warmth when sitting outside; ideal for cafes, restaurants, and home patios

I bought this knowing I may have to return it as our deck is not tall enough for a standing heater. Well, my husband assembled it and decided it WAS possible to cut it down a few inches. The gas line is simply a hose and excess can be wrapped around the cylinder. Gotta think about it, but...... Can't rate it on heat output or distribution as its summer, 95°. But I KNOW it gets close to freezing here, and wintertime warmth will be.

These are very nice patio heaters, very easy to assemble, the only thing you have to be aware is the gas regulator valve, bought 4 and 2 of them had a defective leaking valve, which I replaced instead of returning the heater as these valves are extremely cheap like less than 3 dlls a piece, so, insted of reboxing and move back blah blah blah, just replaced it.... other than that, heating area it's just great and these are tall, strong and have a platic base to fill with water so it get to be more stable... make 1000% sure you remove all plastic films before assembing the top, it can be a pain... cheers!

I put it together myself in about an hour, and this thing is HOT when it gets going! Perfect for chilly evenings.

The finish of this unit is great. One of the two units that I ordered had a dent in the base shroud and the warning labels are in three languages but can be peeled off. The one issue I had with assembly was the mylar shrink wrap around the the top deflector takes a while to remove. The other huge construction benefit was all the screws and connector pieces come in a marked separated container - very high marks for that. You will need two people to mount the burner piece on top of mounting pole. Also, it does not have an electronic igniter but rather the old style mechanical spark ignition which I'm not thrilled about. All in all, very nice unit - nice glow from the heater (but it does get blackened on the mesh screen after use) Price was good. I'd definitely buy it again and probably will add a third unit in the not too distant future!

The media could not be loaded. These are great heaters. They work well, look very nice and seem to withstand the outdoor elements quite well so far. One of the issues many reviewers stated was that they are a little too tall for the heat to reach guests when seated. We have one by our hot tub and when we get out and sit, the heat doesn’t radiate low enough to warm up in my opinion. I would not return them. We still like them and no complaints but just wanted to share this point of view in my review.

Time from opening the box to test ignition was about 45 minutes. The pieces all fit nicely, the holes were all drilled in the right places and the screws and bolts were all labeled with a name and the corresponding assembly instruction step. I would recommend a 10mm socket and a 14mm socket instead of using the wrench included with the hardware. The finish is attractive and, as near as I can tell, the base with the tank on it will give it sufficient mass that I won’t need to fill the water reservoir.Time will tell as to it’s long term durability, but I’m very pleased with the assembly experience and the appearance of this patio heater.
