This is as described --- a small patio heater - but that means for a small area -- not that it is small. It's short. Works great on my small patio. I live in the Phoenix area where it gerts nippy in the evenings and mornings and this makes it comfortable to sit outside. But if someone has a larger area, they should buy the big one. Not sure why this is called a "table top" because I would never put it on a table. It's bulky and has that large top. But it's light enough to move around. so when I'm through outside, I just move it to the corner out-of-sight. There was a little issue with how to start it because the instructions that came with it were confusing and left out a step. But common-sense on my part prevailed and I got it going. It uses the little propane tanks that you can buy anywhere - usually come in sets of two. It definitely meets my needs.

This is a great heater, but there is a detail to know before buying. While this is designed to house and consume standard camp stove 1lb propane canisters it really doesn't work well with such a small fuel source. You'll get 30 mins of somewhat acceptable flame then just a weak flame. What you need is a full sized 20lb propane tank, and a commonly available adapter hose then it will work great. It puts out quite a lot of heat now, and it can run for hours without trouble!

Bought this for my back porch where I like to go and have a cigar and watch a little golf on TV. During the winter it is too cool to sit outside without some kind of addition warmth and this does the trick. If you are looking for it to warm an area and keep it warm this will not do that unless the area is enclosed. However, if you want some heat reflecting on you while you enjoy the outdoor deck this will do the trick. It's meant to warm you up a little, not heat the entire patio.

Bought this heater to take to chill off the air in my lanai. The heater is easy to use and gives of some nice heat in about a five foot area. UPDATE: The unit works well once its lit. Takes a lot of patience to get gas flow. Couple of minutes hold the knob in.

First of all I not sure why some reviews on this item says it is hard to light. It is hard to see the pilot light when it is ignited during the day time but I have had this for about two months and I have NEVER had a problem lighting it. I will admit that the flame is not that high but I did not want a large flame as it is on a coffee table on my back porch. In the past I had propane fire pit and it smoked the ceiling above the fire pit. Do yourself a favor and get a hook up for a 20 lb propane bottle if you want to enjoy this any length of time believe me, I would not consider using one of the small bottles because it is more trouble changing them often than it is worth. This is a well made product and so far I am very pleased with it.

This thing works amazingly!! It’s beautiful and produces a ton of heat in our gazebo.

It arrived early in perfect condition. Assembly was easy and straight forward. Disappointed with heat output using 1 lb tank which lasted about 2 1/2 hours on high. Connected the heater to a 20 lb tank and the heat output doubled. No it is not anywhere close to the large heaters output, but sitting between two chairs on our lanai in 34 degree weather, we were comfy with a heavy sweat shirt. Buy recommendation with you should use a larger propane tank for maximum output.
