The hydrating and exfoliating process also works to lessen the visible effects of aging.  How It Works Once the paraffin wax has melted, turn off the heating element and wait for the wax to drop to a comfortable temperature. Then, submerge one hand, elbow, or foot in the wax. Remove it for a few seconds, then submerge it again. Repeat this four to five times, allowing the subsequent layers of wax to penetrate therapeutic warmth deeper into the skin. Place the treated area in a plastic bag, then cover that with an insulated mitt. Repeat your the other hand, foot, or elbow, then sit for 10–15 minutes to enjoy the warmth and hydration. The wax comes off easily with a soft tissue.
