I found the shaver to be quite easy to use; it smoothed my face as it glided. There was little problem in clearing off all the stubble on my face. My beard is very coarse and is usually difficult to clean in a quick pass over. I must shave bot in the morning and the evening to keep a smooth face. This Vivitar makes it faster and more satisfied with the results.
