Cleans better than I did. So easy. Always wanted one

We were an owner of a Roomba 870 for 10 years, it still worked well but it was time to allow him to retire to my office and work less harder. We purchased the new j7 and this update was night and day difference. The new j7 actually learns the space, maps the different rooms and even sends me notifications of obstacles it doesn't recognize. My favorite are the dog toys, which at Roomba's level look terrifying. It is learning, I no longer receive notifications about shoes, it knows what they are and that they are temporary obstacles. One of the best things is the avoidance system and the P.O.O.P guarantee which has saved us. iRobot customer service is top notch.

It cleans all the rooms! Carpet, tile laminate and cork. It works really well for pet hair. I really have to empty bin a lot though. I chose the non self empty because I have a dog that sheds like crazy. I thought I would be going through bags @ an extra cost replacing. It does leave long wound up hairs all over the floor, easy to pick up.

Best thing ever! We have foster cats and we have no hair problem! Thank you Roomba!!

Love this sweeper. It's easy to maintain. I have 2 cats and it does a decent job of picking up cat hair.

Looks like some features were updated on this vacuum. After each cleaning I receive a notification to review obstacles that could possibly be keep out zones or temporary obstacles. My previous vacuum did not have that feature. I love it!

We bought two roombas - Rosie manages the main floor and Alfred takes care of the finished basement. They are both awesome! They go under the beds too. I would highly recommend a roomba to everyone. Mapping is wonderful too.

Does a great job, important to remember to program rooms that are off limits. It does not do well on throw rugs. It is a little time consuming to take up those rugs.

Works great. Having a long haired golden retriever kept us busy trying to keep the floors clear. .Then we discovered this beauty. I should note that we have laminated floors with very little carpet Very intelligent., definitely get a model with a camera such as the j7 model we purchased . After the initial mapping we set up a schedule to vacuum the whole house. We also set up some zones so we could target specific areas. It empties itself (very loud) as needed and when finished. As long as you pay attention to minor maintenance it continues to run great. Love this robot. It cleans under beds and in areas a regular vacuum just doesn't go. That keeps the whole house cleaner., cleaner air., cleaner socks.

The ability to avoid cords and small (to larger) objects on the floor is really a game changer for my family. I have two younger children who shed crumbs and leave trails of toys around the floor despite our best efforts to get them OFF of the floor. This helps save Magnatile builds, blanket forts, and cat toys from getting sucked up. The smaller, horizontal bin is visually appealing. Would highly recommend!
