I've been turning it on before going to sleep to calm down and make sure my sinuses aren't dry. It provides a relaxing atmosphere. I also sometimes get a sore throat when sleeping with the fan on and I have noticed that if the humidifier has been turned on prior to going to sleep, my throat felt better than normal. Lastly the fact that it is collapsible is amazing. It is super easy to move around and the instructions were clear and concise.
