He is four years old and typically wears a size 4 and this coat fit him perfectly with room to grow for the winter and for layers underneath. Love that it also had a jacket zipped into it that could unattach and be worn on its own. He loved the fun colors and dinosaurs on it, will be perfect for this fall and also winter. The outer shell jacket is a perfect rain jacket and wind blocker. Then add the two and it’s a water resistant winter jacket that is perfect for playing on the snow! The small coat comes out of the larger coat and can be worn in the fall and spring months. When both of them are together, it is a very heavy coat and is perfect for the winter months. We’ve bought this every year since my son was born. The inner layer coat is thin and safe for the car seat. The heavy coat then zippers to it. Very convenient!
