Outstanding Product!

Had the bags embroidered for an excellent client with whom I've worked for many years. The bags embroidered beautifully. More importantly, the client appreciates the product's multi functionality and versatility. Very rich looking and high perceived value... very important to an IT client with many excellent IT clients of its own. Very happy with the product overall.

Could be better

Shoulder strap could be more robust, looks cheap. Please re-design an ergonomic one.

Exactly what I was looking for. Worth every penny.

Over the years, I've purchased several backpacks in store so I trusted the quality/durability of the brand. This was my first time purchasing a bag online & not being able to physically see/touch the item. It arrived on time as promised. I bought it for one of my kids to use for college. He requested: a backpack that could be converted to a messenger bag, one with plenty of pockets/zippers for organization, something big enough for his laptop, & nothing too big/bulky. This bag is perfect for that. I love that it has a USB port to charge his devices! The only/minimal drawback I have is that the crossbody strap is not padded like the backpack straps. I also wish that it came with/had an option to buy a charging bank for his devices or that there was a cord that could be plugged into an outlet. All in all, it is a great bag & hit all of the marks. It holds everything needed for class & is well padded. Most importantly, my kid is satisfied with it.

All-in-1

Got this as a gift for my husband- he needed a versatile bag for work, regular use, travel, and day hiking- this fit the bill nicely. It lasted 2 years before a zipper broke, but considering this was truly his daily bag and organizer, I’m buying it again!

Great concept but riddled with issues

Bought in store after going through all the crannies and nooks of all the bags, meaning this bag impressed me more than any other. I loved how versatile it seemed: backpack, suitcase, whatever you want it to be. The style jived with me, and the fabric and stitching seemed super durable. But what didn't stick out to me then is hurting me now. To start, space is very limited and allows for little more than a laptop and the barest of essentials. I can't imagine ever squeezing a full change of clothes and toiletries alongside a laptop and smartphone for traveling. Space is that tight. The handle that allows you to carry the bag suitcase-style is very poorly positioned. You'd think they'd place it in the center, roughly over the center of gravity, so that when you grab the bag it naturally hangs down with the bottom of the bag directly below the handle. But the handle is positioned at the very rear of the bag, well behind the center of gravity, so whenever you grab the bag, it always hangs down crooked, at a slant. The more stuff you have in the bag, the bigger and more annoying the slant. Probably not the image you'd want to project if you're heading to an important business meeting. Also disappointing is that I can never seem to find the zippers. I find myself having to grab at the bag, stare it at for seconds, turn it around and back again, and then finally grab the right zipper. Same goes for the suitcase handle, which sits flush with the top of the bag and so is easy to miss. I can never tell right away which side of the bag to aim my hand for. The right? The left? To the rear? The front? This is the sort of thing you quickly get an intuitive feel for, but I just haven't gotten there with this bag. It's super frustrating. The backpack straps are a lifesaver if you're traveling, and a big selling point for me: I would not have bought this bag without them. But the strap fasteners are disappointing. It seems the slightest disturbance will cause the straps to overcome the locking mechanism and extend until the bag is hanging considerably lower than where you had it before. If the bag is on the heavier side or if you're sprinting a little to make a meeting or catch a taxi or make a flight, say, then you'll probably also be fighting the unraveling straps. At this price, you'd think this bag would at least stay out of your other troubles, but it seems to actually compound them with new troubles. My strong advice is to avoid this bag. I'd still buy Swiss Gear, because my experience with them over the years has been very good, but this bag is an aberration from my perspective. The concept is great, but consider it a beta version---halfway there, but with lots of design work still to be done. In particular, the designers need to test this bag and get usability feedback from customers, because I can't believe they've done that---because the issues I have with this bag are all simple, careless mistakes, and all very easily preventable. I do hope they stick with this concept, because the versatility is great for traveling business people who also want a somewhat casual backpack for everyday use. But please, put in the time and brain power to get it right.
