Once my dog gets used to being put in it, I think it will be very useful. I plan on taking him along when I ride my bike - he is just a little guy and wouldn't be able to run along side me...at least not for very long. The carrier is well made. The only suggestion I would have is to have a softer lining instead of the vinyl so it would be a little more comfortable.
