The light function is very bright, which is a good thing. When in bug zapper mode, the light is almost non existent, and attracts almost exclusively mosquitoes. In two days, it was almost clogged with dead mosquitoes. Be sure to read the instructions. This is not a general bug zapper. It's a LED porch light and a mosquito killer. It does both very well, but it's not bug zapping, "entertainment."

Way overpriced for a what amounts to a mood light. I should have just purchased a bug zapper. They actually draw in the bugs.

It was installed about a month ago and light is going out. never witnessed the bug zapper working.

I purchased this item because it seemed like a great concept. I was so excited to try it out. It was very easy to install. The good observations end there. The light itself it extremely bright and hurts your eyes. The bug zapper part was nonexistent. I live in the Midwest and we are loaded with bugs so lack of bugs is not the problem. I watched the bugs fly in and fly around but not get zapped. I gave it two weeks. In that time, one bug was zapped, that's it. I put the regular bulb back in and started googling "bug zappers".
