I had been on the hunt for a grocery store for my little one for a while but hadn't found one that fit the bill. I came across this on a whim online, they didn't even have it on the floor yet at my Target. There were no reviews yet but I've been very pleased with all my M&D in the past so I took a chance. Thus far this holds true to all their all other products that I have. Easy to put together. Appealing to the eye, doesn't take up much space, no small coins to get lost, sturdy "groceries", and has been providing entertainment for my kiddos. I would recommend!

My son LOVES to use the self scanner anytime we check out at Target or other stores. I was searching for a play grocery store and found this. I couldn’t believe how cute, compact and fun it looked! I cannot wait to give it to him for Christmas. He is 5 but I think will get plenty of play out of this before he outgrows it, and then my 1 year old will be able to play with it as she grows too. They both love playing with our play kitchen and playing grocery store so this is perfect! The box isn’t too huge but it is pretty heavy. The price is right on par as well I believe. I will update my review in a few months once we open it and play with it!

I love this Melissa & Doug scan It. It is so much fun for my child to interact with. He loves playing with it alot. It also helps stimulate his imagination while pretending to scan the food and shopping. The hand held scanner is realistic it beeps while play item is getting scanned. I definitely recommend this product.

This toy is so fun! We’ve had such a great time playing with it. It’s well made and sturdy with vibrant, bold colors and graphics. The scanner actually scans the barcodes and adds the amount. It’s one of those toys that’s easy to say to playing with because it’s fun for parents too!

The Melissa & Doug Scan & Play toy is an interactive learning tool that simulates a real scanner. Kids can scan included grocery items and hear their names and sounds, helping teach sorting, numbers, and pretend play. It’s such a great learning toy for kids.

It's durable, and it looks as you see, and putting it together was easy. I did it all by myself. I bought fake money that looks real, so that doesn't come with it. But it's all nice. And you have to buy the food and other stuff separately. But if you are looking to buy, definitely do it. You don't need fancy tools to put it together. Just need a screw driver, and it comes with the wrench that's need needed. Recommend.
