My son is hard on shoes. He wears one pair for about 3 months. These he’s worn since winter and we’re about to buy a replacement pair. While Skechers may not last as long as other brands, I think they’re great for growing kids—by the time they’re ready to be tossed, they’re onto the next size!

These step-ins are nice because my kid can slip them on without the tongue bunching up. Main issue is the loops holding the elastic shoe laces breaks easily. The shoes function fine without the laces, just looks funny when some loops are broken and the laces are just all loose. Eventually, we just took out the laces. My kid got a blister at his heel after wearing these for a long day of walking due to the back being stiff for the step-in function. I would look for other step-in shoes for him. Will not buy again.
