Years ago, I used one of these for my previous cat, and while it worked fine, she was always afraid of the cranking noise it made. How things have improved! The turn on this appliance is absolutely silent, and my present cat loves eating her dry food from the smaller compartments rather than from her larger, single bowl. Nice selection of colors. Well worth the money (and believe me, it is the best value on the market!).

This is great for my cat and I, she can eat as it turns and I get peace…except when it doesn’t turn as fast as she likes, then there is definitely a temper tantrum that occurs. But it’s easy to program and set up and I just fill it once a day.

I have an older girl who has an insulinoma. She has to be fed every 3 hours and given medications at different feeding times. I have owned a petmate automatic feeder in the past along with many others. I came across this one and just fell in love with it. I know it’s just a dog feeder but it makes my life so much easier. I am able to store 5 meals in the feeder. This Amazon basics one has by far been the easiest one to use. My favorite part is the fact that there are different colors!! Thank you Amazon for making my life a little less complicated.

I used this for my cat when I was out of town, but also started using it as her daily feeder so she can eat before I get home from work. The battery power is both good and bad, because if you have a power outage or something it will still work, but if the batteries die you're kind of S.O.L. It would be nice if it plugged in but had battery back up- otherwise its a great little machine.

I went on vacation for 6 days with no one to watch and feed my bearded dragon so I bought this. She has assorted vegetables growing in her enclosure but I wanted worms available throughout the week that wouldn’t escape/hide nor all be eaten immediately.This is solution is simple and great. It's basically set on a countdown timer NOT a clock so keep that in mind. It's very large and sturdy. It easily kept 5+ superworms (with bedding & food!) in each compartment safely with no escapes until their lizard demise. It’s deep enough for super worms but I would not suggest larger adult roaches nor feeders that require refrigeration.

I was looking for a treat feeder for my 70 pound pitbull husky cross, to cheer her up while I’m at work 😉 This is a very simple design with six compartments. You program it to open up each compartment at a certain time interval (hours + minutes) The securely locked in lid will rotate counterclockwise at that interval, opening up the compartment for a hidden treat for your pet! My dog is not destructive so I don’t know how it might work for one that is super mischievous, but the lid seems to be secure. The compartment is about an inch and a half deep so it might be a challenge for a flat faced bulldog. It is AA battery operated, and has a digital indicator on the program screen. If you turn it off, it does not retain the time interval so you have to punch it in again. But it literally takes me less than 10 seconds to do so. Super simple design and a great price for what I was looking for. Most of the automatic treat feeders have a very small treat popping out and most don’t get good reviews. So this worked perfectly for us! I have had it for about a month now and no issues at all.
