I liked it talked about the constellations and when to find them.

looks just like pictures but my only issue is that it is not bright when on al all.

I sent as gift without opening. Don't know anything.

My nephew just loved it! He is 10 years old and was so impressed with the functions.

Some of the country lines are not correct but it is good enough for our use. My son loves the way it lights up. During the day you cannot see the star patterns which makes it all the more fun to see it illuminated at night

WARNING for those of you ordering for Christmas like I did - be aware it arrives in a box that has the picture on the outside. My children saw it on the doorstep so now it can no longer be a true "Christmas" gift (if you know what I mean). I'm so mad. I'm sure the product itself is fine and my son (6YO) will enjoy (in fact he was very excited when he saw the globe on the doorstep) - we haven't set it up yet. But Amazon should warn parents around Christmas time when the box will not come in one of the ordinary brown boxes.

This is a very nice product, a combination of globe and constellations. I use it for lectures for college students. My kids were attracted by this new one, especially by the constellations. Metal arm makes it stand well on table. I had a cheap globe before. But it's plastic. You know kids like taking parts of every thing. They some time drop it on floor. So that one went to the end. I hope this one last longer. What I like the most is a small pamphlet that explains the common constellations. The price is a bit out of my expectation.

I ordered the product as a gift to be sent directly to the child it was for. However, Amazon, in its questionable wisdom, decided to set up their entry system to be un-correctible, so that it had to be sent to me, since I ordered it. It arrived fine, but not at the place it was meant to go. So I had to create a new mailing label and tell the recipient's family it would arrive late, and I had to incur additional expense and time to take it to the post office and re-direct it to its final destination. Which is kind of odd, because I also ordered a piece of furniture for the same household and Amazon allowed me to enter the receiver's address just fine on that one. Not sure why the glitch, but it was irritating.

This is a nice little globe with a good, quality feel to it. It has really good-looking colors and sharp, easy-to-read text. I like the night-light feature and use this in my children's room - it's not too bright and has a nice effect with the constellations. I like that it includes ocean depth...I hadn't seen that on a globe before and it is very interesting.Some things that would improve this globe: A larger size would be nice...the globe diameter is only 8"...I'm guessing I used to have a 12" globe growing up, and that's kinda what I had in mind when buying this (though it's clear in the posting that it's 8"). I'd like to be able to feel the topography...raised mountains and such would be cool! Better spinning would be nice...I used to spin our globe, close my eyes and wherever the globe stopped was where I was supposed to travel to...or something like that! This globe will not spin a full resolution by itself and feels a bit stiff.I do think this is a good globe for the price!
