This is my 2nd purchase and upgrade from 2.0. Please note, this is for personal use and not to cool down a whole room. The trick to ensure that the air is artic cold you have to put both cold water and ice at the bottom. If you want it even cooler then I would suggest placing the cartridge in freezer after you pour water over it and BOOM!!! If you are looking for room cooler than I would suggest a tower fan where you can insert ice and water!

if you’re in arizona, this thing works wonders! it doesn’t cool a whole room down though. i mean obviously, it’s tiny! lol but if you can point it right at your face or feet while you sleep, it seriously helps a lot! my dog is obsessed with it! i freeze the cartridge and use ice water in mine! i keep it on top of a hand towel. We always have a humidifier running anyways, so i love how this adds moisture to the air. it is so dry here! dry heat is not as pleasant as most people think. appreciate your humidity! lol

In 107 outside 78 indoors this has helped cool the office. It doesn’t fully cool it down but compared to others offices mine is cooler with this significantly

It recently reached 90-100 degrees outside during the 6 days we were waiting for our AC to be repaired. The inside of our house reaching 80-85 degrees during the day was easier to ignore with these space coolers and some well-placed fans. While it does say it can last up to 8 hours on a single refill of water in the tank, I suspect that's with the cooling setting off. If you need the cooling setting on, expect to be tending to it every 2-2.5 hours if you need it longer than that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Maybe I’m late to the party but I’ve never heard of this concept before and I’m a fan! We are using this in our sunroom during the warm days. It’s very attractive so it looks nice regardless where you place it, and will work in any room of your home that needs extra cooling. If that weren’t enough, consider this — it’s going to make much less noise than a box fan, which is a win-win! Give it a try!

This device works amazingly well. I didn’t even freeze the cartridge and very cool misty air came out at a high blast. Definitely for a small space and to assist in cooling when your space is too hot. My office is what I got this for it is at the end of the a/c flow and wouldn’t stay cool enough so I got this and I’m very happy I did! I was a little put off by the negative reviews but thought I’d give it a try. I recommend using distilled water in it so that build up does not happen
